About the role

As VP of Commercial, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping Sonder’s commercial strategy, driving scalable revenue growth, and guiding go-to-market operations across pricing, partnerships, and revenue performance. This role partners with senior leadership to align business strategy with product and market execution.

You’ll lead a small, high-impact team across commercial and revenue operations, working cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure Sonder’s commercial efforts are data-driven, competitive, and customer-centric.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead Sonder’s commercial strategy, including pricing models, customer segmentation, and market alignment.
  • Shape and operationalise go-to-market (GTM) strategies across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Revenue Operations.
  • Drive pricing and packaging decisions to optimise for growth, profitability, and market fit.
  • Deliver data-driven insights to support executive decisions, board reporting, and capital planning.
  • Support the CEO on high-impact initiatives through financial modelling and commercial analysis.
  • Align product strategy with market trends and commercial goals in partnership with the CPTO.
  • Partner with GTM teams to structure deals, support sales execution, and design incentive programs.
  • Lead strategy and execution of key partnerships and joint ventures.
  • Oversee Revenue Operations to improve forecasting, reporting, and funnel efficiency.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing commercial team, aligning efforts to Sonder’s strategic objectives.

About You

  • 8+ years in commercial leadership, strategy, consulting, or tech-scale environments.
  • Demonstrated success in GTM strategy, pricing, and business operations.
  • Experience influencing C-suite stakeholders and supporting board-level decisions.
  • Prior roles in fast-paced, scaling businesses preferred; healthtech experience a plus.
  • Strong financial acumen and data analysis capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred.
