At Coviu, we're looking for an experienced DevOps engineer to join our team either in Brisbane or Sydney working on our WebRTC based telehealth platform to make quality health care more accessible.
We are a telehealth startup with exponential growth during the recent COVID-19 crisis. We are changing the way healthcare is delivered. We do this by providing a web-based platform for medical professionals and patients that makes conducting online consultations a breeze, and augments the experience with relevant clinical tools and medical information.
We're a small, friendly and capable team that values people - one of our founders is active with the W3C, and was a co-editor of the W3C video specification. As a company, we spun out from our roots within CSIRO in 2018 with investment from Main Sequence Ventures - a major international investor. We’ve since expanded massively and are now servicing over 22,000 clinicians across different size healthcare businesses, from sole trader to large hospitals.
With the Coronavirus scare, we have just hit our next growth phase, so it's a great time to join the team and grow with us.
We are looking for a passionate and talented senior DevOps engineer who is able to help us with our Infrastructure, Security and Operational needs.
We are hosted in AWS with an automated deployment pipeline and a large amount of automated monitoring. AWS knowledge in EC2, ECS, RDS, IAM and CloudFormation is in your blood and you know your way around tools like packer and have experience with pipelines. Python and shell scripting experience is in your skillsets and you aim to automate everything.
As the senior DevOps engineer, you will be working with our operations and engineering teams to provide them with needed infrastructure and deployment automation and help with technical issues as they arise. You take co-ownership of the full AWS Infrastructure and ensure the Coviu Telehealth Platform is following the best practice framework. Excellent operational uptimes, security, automate everything and cost optimisation is the day to day focus of your work.
You will be fluent with Cloudformation and various DevOps tooling (we use BitBucket, BuildKite, DataDog, ThreadStack and others). Being a Telehealth platform, security is a priority and you are confident managing large scale multi-account setups in AWS with secure frameworks to ensure compliance. Being the first contact for Infrastructure issues, you will be helping with debugging of network and database issues, provide insights into infrastructure elements with Logs and metrics.
You'll be working either out of our Brisbane (South Brisbane) or our Sydney (Darlinghurst) office.
What we're looking for
You'll have a solid background in AWS and Infrastructure as code. You also have experience in Monitoring and Logging solutions, CI/CD Pipelines and can work in an agile approach using JIRA, document in Confluence and works in branch oriented git code repository structures.
Your will be able to work with our internal Engineering team to find best solutions for first-class software in a secure, autoscaling and auto-healing way. You’ll be a first technical contact for all infrastructure related alarms and issues. Database knowledge (Postgres) is beneficial.
You’ll work in a great team which highly values and offers peer support while you develop a deep understanding of the Coviu product and its challenging infrastructure requirements.
