We’re looking for an outstanding people person to boost the delivery of people operations activity in ANZ and champion our culture

Sendle builds shipping that is good for the world. We help small business thrive by making parcel delivery simple, reliable and affordable. We’re a B Corp and the first 100% carbon neutral delivery service in Australia and the United States, where we harness major courier networks to create a delivery service that levels the playing field for small businesses.

In the last year, we have made huge strides towards our goal of becoming the largest SMB eCommerce courier in the World, moving from a single country operation in Australia to a successful launch and operation in the US.  We also launched major partnerships with eBay and Shopify. We have bold ambitions to grow and this role will be key to our success.

What you’ll do

You will help bring our purpose - shipping that is good for the world - to life for our people by providing quality, reliable operational people support across a range of areas including:

  • educating people managers on HR policies and self-service tools available
  • facilitate induction, onboarding and offboarding with attention to detail, simplicity and ease
  • Use qualitative and quantitive data and feedback to make HR service improvements and recommend actions for managers and senior leadership team
  • Provide expert advice and coaching to employees when appropriate.
  • Understand and solicit employee opinions and anticipate their needs and concern
  • deliver high-quality HR services and programs
  • diligently respond to people queries (e.g. pay, leave, diversity, safety) while interpreting and applying HR policies

You’ll be using your IQ, EQ and initiative to work with the People & Culture team to make the administration of ‘all things people’ easy and simple by co-creating processes, templates or tools to improve the way we do things.

You will, on occasion, support and coach people managers to lead their teams in line with our 5Hs and contribute to activities that help our team identify their learning or skill gaps, expand their learning mindset and grow as professionals and leaders. You will be both a custodian and champion of our culture.

You will be an active member of the People & Culture Team, contributing to projects that improve the people services and experience and make Sendle the place where people can do the best work of their careers.

What you’ll need

  • 4-6 years HR/People Operations experience, preferably in a high-growth tech environment with working knowledge of contemporary HR policies and practices
  • You’ll thrive and live by operational excellence with strong attention to detail and you're able to prioritise across many activities and stakeholders without dropping the ball
  • Impeccable personal integrity and the ability to manage highly confidential information and treat this with the utmost sensitivity and discretion
  • Ability to synthesise quantitative and qualitative data and develop recommendations based on data analysis and insight
  • You’ll hold your own, challenge, coach and influence others. You won’t be afraid to speak up when you need help.
  • You’ll also need to be a quick learner of tools like Slack, Google apps, Trello, Miro and Zendesk   
  • You’ll also need to be optimistic, someone who is diligent, self-directed, collaborative and has a 'never give up’ attitude.
