Role Overview:

This is a strategically important and very high profile role at Finder. You will be working closely with Finder’s co-founders and CEOs, the Chief Product & Technology Officer and Finder’s Product and Engineering leadership teams. You will have a significant impact on Finder’s strategy and growth.  

You will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Finder Ecommerce, a B2B and B2B2C eCommerce platform. You will be a rallying for the scrum teams delivering the roadmap, setting goals and delivering go-lives that drive partner sign-ups, partner engagement along with  customer engagement and sales. 

You will work closely with our customers, clients, publishers, editorial staff, marketers, data scientists and software engineers in order to achieve this. You will be expected to grow a deep understanding of Finder’s unique capabilities and how they can be collided to execute on new strategic opportunities. 

You excel at delivering products that drive a commercially focussed but solidly engineered outcome from inception through to go-live including launch, operation and execution. Main Responsibilities:

  • Working with stakeholders to develop and deliver a product strategy for the Finder Ecommerce - in particular across Australia, the US and UK.
  • Deliver products and features that improve marketplace activity, marketplace contributors, service providers and marketplace revenue
  • Coordinate and prioritise product opportunities with global company leaders, country leaders, publishing and marketing teams.
  • Through Finder’s data analytics and data science capabilities, grow and nurture a deep understanding of our marketplace’s members and providers to the point where you are their champion, identifying and removing friction points as well as developing valuable new products and features for them. 
  • Own Finder’s marketplace experimentation strategy and framework, running tests to prove/disprove hypothesis and continuously adding commercially valuable information to our knowledge base. 
  • Extreme entrepreneurship and commercial acumen, leading the development of data driven business cases and business models for new investments 
  • Embody, demonstrate and reinforce our company values.
  • Subject matter and domain expertise on finder product and engineering principles and execution
  • Travel internationally if required.

Essential Requirements of the Role:

  • Demonstrable experience in managing product across web and app platforms
  • Experience in a B2C marketplace and/or B2B2C services environment 
  • Demonstrable success in improving acquisition funnel metrics, growing active providers and customers and maximising customer lifetime value (revenue) through product improvement. 
  • Good understanding of tax, shipping, logistics 
  • Marketing and analytics platforms such as Segment, Iterable, Amplitude, Google Analytics, BigQuery, Datastudio,  or Snowplow. 
  • Viral or referral marketing experience.
  • Experience managing the entire product development lifecycle, including ideas, mockups, testing, delivery and on-going tracking.
  • Strong wireframing techniques, preferably with a simple tool.
  • Strong understanding of user science and empathy, with the ability to turn insights into action.
  • Experimentation, including the design of effective split tests to prove or disprove your hypothesis.
  • A strong bias for action and hunger to see your work live, coupled with inspirational product leadership and solid relationship building skills. 
  • An understanding of how UX and UI fit into the product development lifecycle
  • Commercial modelling along with demonstrable expertise in defining and achieving commercial growth targets.
  • Keen eye for detail matched with an innovative, creative mind and excellent communication skills.

  • An understanding of financial services comparison.
  • An understanding of personal finance managers (PFM).
  • An understanding of product comparison 
  • An understanding of marketplace compliance and regulation requirements.
  • Excellence in product design.
  • Expertise in Agile development methodologies.
  • Demonstrable People leadership experience .
  • Knowledge of web publishing businesses and content management systems (e.g. WordPress).
  • Experience working with high traffic, high volume websites.
  • Product marketing or brand management experience.
