The mission of the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) is to propel Shippit through our phase of hyper-growth and continue into a scalable and sustainable revenue generation powerhouse. In a winner takes all market, the CRO is responsible for rapidly building an organisation that is customer-obsessed; demand generation, acquisition, engagement, success and retention, the CRO will ensure all aspects of the company has the underpinnings of a scalable revenue engine and will actively tune everything for execution. As an experienced generalist, you will seek out any and every market motion that will ultimately provide leverage for the business today and well into the future.

What will I do?

  • Build a demand generation, sales & activations organisation that is performance driven; set the vision, strategy and manage the execution
  • Deliver & open up a variety of new revenue streams & market growth across APAC
  • Work with internal stakeholders and departments including Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance & Engineering to both motivate and drive participation in the sales process internally 
  • Align the Sales and Marketing teams to collaborate on designing buyer personas, sales stories and lead offers that reflect the insights from those in direct contact with customers and those with industry knowledge and marketing research
  • Be fully aligned across all segmented “go to market” channels including our SEA, Mid Market & Enterprise sales teams
  • Establish tools, processes and capabilities to drive pricing execution that optimises product value and return amongst identified revenue generation segments
  • Continuously strive for excellence in advertising & promotion effectiveness (CAC:LTV); influence marketing to dominate demand generation and ensure accountability through clear attribution.
  • Scale distribution effectively by leveraging key partnerships and channels; systematise and integrate all possible partners and channels to provide the most effective and profitable means of distribution
  • Lead the execution of revenue generation activities by establishing systems, processes and rigour that will positively bolster executional discipline across the business to maximise revenue
  • Build a compelling sales &  marketing organisation that is recognised as a powerhouse of talent development.
  • Use data to guide your management of the business including business planning, evaluation of key performance metrics, accurate summaries and analysis of activity, results, and forecasts.
  • What are we looking for?

  • 10+ years of experience in SaaS environment, with leadership and general management experience in high growth, fast moving companies; B2B sales experience required - hunter background
  • A desire to work in a fast paced start-up mentality environment - ability to prioritise and be roofless
  • Experience building and growing an organisation, influencing and partnering with Operational, Product Management and Engineering teams
  • Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to influence across all levels of the organization and the market
  • A clear understanding / experience of identifying growth, revenue streams and new go to market avenues across APAC
  • Strong experience in defining, measuring and using metrics and data, tying company performance, compensation and promotions to tangible results
  • Demonstrated strength in business leadership that is data-driven; proven ability to synthesise numerous sources complex information across product, market and operations to bring define, create and lead initiatives that will bring about strong and sustainable results
  • Ability to translate complex  concepts into simple and intuitive communications both internally and externally
  • Experience in driving structured processes, designing tools and building training materials to promote a revenue focused culture that is customer focused and results oriented
  • Significant general management & P&L experience
  • Have a deep understanding and proven experience in defining strategy across SaaS environments
