Do you want to be part of a well-regarded cross functional security team, working across a number of Tyro products, helping tackle at scale the 'you build it, you run it' ethos amongst our engineering tribes? You will also be helping and working very closely across all aspects of the business to educate teams about their own security risks and ultimately helping us to get to the cloud safely.

What you'll be doing

  • Promoting a security-first culture
  • Working in cross functional teams to deliver high-quality and secure products
  • Assisting engineering to build security into the design of software
  • Triaging, and providing support for any discovered security issues
  • Automating the identification of security issues throughout our development work flow.
  • Performing security code reviews and/or white-box penetration testing of existing and newly developed applications and libraries.
  • Identifying and addressing security architecture problems with existing and future applications and libraries.
  • Fixing identified vulnerabilities and develop new code, patterns or tools to prevent them in future development.
  • What we're looking for

  • Solid understanding of application security with expertise in one or more areas of interest to you (and Tyro)
  • Outstanding all-round communication skills
  • Empathy for your colleagues and the challenges they face
  • Desire to make security simple
  • Passion for learning and solving difficult problems
  • Background in software development
  • Experience with agile development environments
  • Experience with continuous delivery
  • Familiarity with Linux
  • Experience with cloud technologies (particularly AWS)
  • Experience with consulting and penetration testing (highly advantageous)
