About You

We’re looking for an experienced Head of Funding to join us at OwnHome. In this role you would be shaping the capital structure of a high-growth company, creating new, innovative solutions to the financing of real estate - forging the creation of a new asset class in Australia! You would lead the management of 3rd-parties (accountants; lawyers) to support the ongoing effectiveness and scalability of OwnHome’s capital structure, including structuring of debt facilities to ensure resilience for OwnHome and our customers through property and economic cycles. 

You’re obsessed with details and can operate independently but support a thriving, fast-paced team. You are confident negotiating and advocating for OwnHome and you have a knack for building detailed analytics and reporting. You’re also a strategic thinker who can support the product team on new pricing structures across different markets, assets and customer groups. 

You have experience in structured finance or real estate and will have worked on debt transactions or structuring that have supported real estate transactions, fintechs or warehouse/securitisation. You will have a solid understanding of funding mechanisms, including warehouse facilities, swap markets, and experience with financial modelling techniques and valuation methods used by lenders. You can speak their lingo! (ie. the 5 C’s of credit).
