Atlassian is continuing to hire with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually due to COVID-19. All new and existing Atlassians will continue to work from home until it’s safe to return to our offices. When our offices re-open, we will provide the choice to work from home or return to work in an office unless a job requirement makes it necessary for a particular role to be performed at an Atlassian office.

Atlassian helps teams everywhere change the world and our software is used by more than half of the Fortune 100 companies, connecting people with content and co-workers they need to get their jobs done, faster. Our products are revolutionising the software industry and helping teams collaborate and craft the magic that delivers their best work. Think NASA launching the Rover on Mars or Cochlear gifting those born deaf with the ability to hear, your work directly impacts the products they use to advance humanity!

Want to be involved with defining and driving the future of software development? This world moves quickly with advancements in technologies and practices happening all the time. In Jira Software we’re on a mission to enable teams to move faster and smarter no matter where they start their agile journey. Our goal is to support and empower teams adopting modern software development practices and achieve the goals they strive for.

As the Group Product Manager for team performance, you will define our strategy for improving the performance of software delivery teams backed by data. You will lead a team of passionate Product Managers and partner deeply with your peers in Engineering, Research, Marketing, and Design. This is the chance to set the direction for a key part of our business. You will execute on an aggressive roadmap, and grow an outstanding team. This work will directly impact tens of thousands of customers and millions of users.

Jira Software, Agile could be the team for you, if you:

  • Have grown through the ranks in Product, nailing hard problems and are now well into your journey as an inspiring PM leader
  • Have experience with personalisation, large data sets, algorithms, and machine learning
  • Can prioritise among opportunities, balance the needs of our customers with those of the business and clearly communicate the rationale behind your decisions
  • Love people leadership, with significant experience leading and growing future product leaders
  • Enjoy crafting and evangelising a compelling product and experience vision out to the market and at all levels of the company
  • On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • Experience leading a Product Management team, and experience leading multiple streams of work with multiple teams and roadmaps
  • Experience in a high-growth software product organisation, and know how to navigate and collaborate at scale.
  • An obsession for customers, and working directly with design and engineering to ship delightful products
  • Experience partnering with marketing to deliver products that are aligned with messaging, go-to-market, and create thought leadership
  • The ability to inspire your teams to build better products with a constant dedication to understand, question and improve the experiences for our users
  • More about our team

Product Managers at Atlassian are responsible for the complete product offering, from early stage research and ideation, through to implementation and iteration based on key success metrics. We're dedicated to agile methodology and are believers in 'lean', which means we despise documentation for documentations sake. We are deeply ambitious and do our very best at all times to validate assumptions about our users, with various types of testing. We are not looking for product managers who just want to concentrate on one area, such as user research or visual design - we need you to be eager to deliver across the entirety of the product development lifecycle. We are keen for you to bring experience that you can impart on the rest of us but also have the interest to improve in many other skills, and be driven to constantly learn and improve.

Product development teams are led by a triad of team members - a product manager, a design lead, and engineering lead. We work collaboratively, with the product manager as the decision maker for product strategy, road map, and feature priorities.
