To support our growth, Swyftx is searching for a number of Scrum Masters to help drive and ensure our agile rituals are taking place and the collaboration processes with our product owners can impact high quality output from our software engineering teams.

You're a pragmatic leader who is comfortable creating positive change, with a background of having to think on your feet, and rapid decision making. You’re a passionate Scrum Master, with in-depth knowledge of the theory and pragmatic practice of Scrum, Kanban and other agile frameworks, and a proven track record in value-based delivery within a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Guides and coaches team's on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products.
  • Manage the team to a high performing level by recognizing strengths and areas of improvement, and then employ the appropriate coaching and development techniques.
  • Responsible for ensuring the Scrum methodology is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines.
  • Coaches the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, domain knowledge and communicates effectively, both internally and externally working within the Scrum team.
  • Resolves team impediments to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization.
  • Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.
  • Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.

Qualifications & Experience requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
  • Ideally 3+ years of experience leading Agile projects
  • Deep knowledge of agile methodology and Scrum framework & various Agile approaches
  • Strong coaching skills to enable growth into a high performing Scrum team.
  • Knowledge of technical engineering best practices (e.g. test driven development, continuous integration, DevOps, etc.)
  • General Knowledge with Agile techniques like: Continuous Integration, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
  • Know about the value of metrics and incremental delivery.
  • Knowledge about tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories, etc.
  • Strong collaborative problem solver
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to present complex ideas effectively
