Atlassian is continuing to hire with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually due to COVID-19. All new and existing Atlassians will continue to work from home until it’s safe to return to our offices. When our offices re-open, every Atlassian will have the choice to work from an office or from home.
Do you love gaining unauthorised access, bypassing controls, subverting processes, and helping other people understand what your actions means for them? Are you good at finding credentials and using those credentials to get more credentials? We’re looking for an experienced offensive security professional to join our existing Red Team and drive security improvement throughout Atlassian.
As a Red Team Engineer you will join a small team conducting long term offensive security and adversary emulation operations that illuminate the true state of Atlassian’s security, while also having compassion and emotional intelligence for teams we impact. We respectfully challenge the status quo to push the state of security forward and thoroughly enjoy the art of authorised crimes.
Your day to day will include:
Leading and participating in full-scope, objective-based Red Team operations
Working collaboratively and independently, depending on project and team requirements
Supply novel attack paths to achieve operational goals
Contribute to the strategic vision of the Red Team
Meticulously detailing your work and maintaining evidence of Red Team activity during operations
Blogging, and speaking about our operations for a company wide audience
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
Adept experience in offensive security
Self-motivation and a results-oriented approach
Experience building and delivering projects from start to finish
Passion for collaboration and strong interpersonal skills
A mix of technical skills, willingness to learn, and a need be challenged every day
We desire at least one of the following:
Experience with authentication protocols, privilege escalation, lateral movement, network pivoting techniques, and system administration
Experience with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, GCP, or similar.
Linux / OSX experience
Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in your chosen topic
It's great, but not required, if you have:
Prior experience on a Red Team
Understanding of operational security and stealth techniques
Contributions to open source security or penetration testing tools
Software engineering experience in language of your choice
Industry recognised certifications in penetration testing (CREST CCT or CRT, OSCP, SANS, etc)
