To help drive this growth we are looking for an exceptional leader to take our sales team to the next level.

As Senior Manager, Business Development, you will be required to develop a clear strategy and offering and implement a focused sales plan to continue to build the right team to deliver extraordinary results.

The Role

  • Understanding and developing your category-based value propositions and solutions
  • Work with Sales Enablement team to develop pitches and sales tools
  • Develop and manage Zip channel sales approach and partners
  • Work with Merchant Growth team to seamlessly hand over accounts 
  • Driving efficiency with salesforce performance and reporting
  • Develop and agree accurate financial forecasts with Finance
  • Manage sales teams targets and commission structures
  • Drive sales discipline and robust processes from lead to live
  • Develop strong succession plans and growth opportunities for sales professionals, while retaining our best talent with a programmatic approach
  • The Soul

  • 6+ years experience leading and managing a Sales function with P&L responsibilities
  • Experience with growing and scaling a high-performing BD team
  • Experience in prospecting and closing sales in a commerce, retail, payments or technology related businesses
  • An understanding of the complexities and nuances of the Australian retail market. You offer a point of view and help our clients understand how to work together for mutually beneficial outcomes
  • A track record of accomplishment in enterprise selling in a range of verticals
  • Sound financial & commercial acumen
  • Ability to process, analyse and think “outside the box” to get results
  • Proven experience in coaching and mentoring of teams under pressure. You know how to bring the best out in others and have a desire to see the team succeed beyond yourself
  • Ability to collaborate with, influence & persuade others; with an inspirational leadership style and structured thinking
  • Results-orientated with a record to prove it and strong customer first ethic
