The role

Our Financial Control team is looking for a Financial Accountant to contribute to the day-to-day financial activities of our fast ASX listed growing business.

This represents an outstanding opportunity to be part of one of Australia's most exciting and high growth ASX Listed FinTech businesses.

Key responsibilities include

  • Preparation and processing of month-end reporting up to the trial balance stage.
  • Preparation of month-end Balance Sheet Reconciliations (for example, in relation to commissions, intercompany, loan receivables and intangibles).
  • Preparation of tax and deferred tax accounting and reconciliations.
  • External audit liaison and support.
  • Assistance with the preparation of financial statements and APRA returns.
  • Ensuring accurate accounting treatment for technical matters, including hedge accounting, AASB 9 and AASB 15.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the Financial Control team including brokers, customers and cash transactions.
  • Supporting the Financial Control team with ad hoc accounting or operational matters.

About you

  • Chartered Accountant Australia with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Finance / Accounting.
  • Previous experience in audit, ideally Big 4 but not specifically.
  • Financial services and banking experience will be highly regarded.
  • Strong technical accounting understanding.
  • Be a Proactive communicator with responsive engagement skills.
  • Have an eye on the detail – attention to detail is a must.
