Who the hoot are Wisr?!

We’re on a mission to bring people closer to financial wellness and make a real difference in the world, starting right here in Australia. The way we’re doing it is pretty cool too. Take a peek at our fair and personalised loans, our round-up app, and our free credit scoring dashboard.

Now is the time to join one of Australia’s fastest growing ASX-listed fintechs. We are proudly purpose-led with a track record of consistent quarter-on-quarter growth and we’ve got big plans on our mind. People are taking notice and we were ranked #6 on the AFR Boss Best Places to Work and #8 on WRK+ Best Places to Work 2021!

We are a responsible bunch of humans who love helping each other out and share a penchant for learning, both personally and professionally. We love our customers (some would say a tad obsessed) and we love making your day.

Keen to put your smart part to work? You’ll need to be an Australian Citizen or Permanent resident based out of Sydney to apply.

About the Job

We are recruiting for multiple Senior Product Designers to join our UX/UI team and what that looks like is totally up to you - we are open to permanent hires or independent contractors. This is the time to throw your hat in the ring, whether you’re keen to start immediately or fresh in 2022!

You will be taking ownership of a specific Wisr product while working with the wider team and squad. Things move pretty quickly at Wisr, so organisation is key and you will be comfortable scoping design briefs and setting expectations around what your squad can expect and when.

As Senior Product Designer, you will be responsible for end-to-end UI/UX activities within the squad. You will own and deliver across the entire design process, not just one aspect such as user research or visual design.

This is an opportunity for you to be a key part of the business where you will see your contributions actively making an impact both internally and externally.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct comprehensive customer research (e.g user testing, interviews, contextual enquiries, surveys, guerilla testing) and other forms of qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Use research insights to develop journey maps, process flows, personas and product improvements and recommendations.
  • Create end-to-end customer experiences that are desired by our customers, feasible and deliver business value.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Engineers and other key business stakeholders.
  • Assist and work across the whole Wisr ecosystem of products.
  • Balance data and user insights to generate solutions for the end-user
  • Who You Are

  • 4+ years minimum of professional hands-on experience as a UX/UI Designer or Product designer
  • Education or training in Design, Visual communication, UX.
  • Experience in designing and running user research and product discovery.
  • Described as a self-starter with a focus on human-centred design thinking.
  • Demonstrated expertise designing visual and UX elements specifically for Apps and / or web applications.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate the value of design choices.
  • Advanced skills in Figma or similar prototyping design tools and a willingness to try new tools.
  • Not sure if you tick all the boxes? Don’t rule yourself out just yet. If you’re interested, we would love to hear from you, so get in touch!
