Why are we hiring this role?

UpGuard is growing rapidly, and an opportunity has opened up in our marketing team. As an Industry Analyst at UpGuard, you’ll drive the planning, preparation, and distribution of industry-specific cybersecurity research reports. Working with our researchers and using our platform, you’ll generate security insights, use them to craft narratives, and then work closely with our creative team to produce written reports that position UpGuard as a thought leader in security. We’re looking for a self-starter who possesses an inquisitive mind and has a passion for both writing and analysis.

What will you accomplish?

  • Use our proprietary tools to assess the security performance of companies. By aggregating and analyzing the information across different industries, you’ll generate both quantitative and qualitative insights. If you have experience generating financial or technical reports/analyses, you’ll instinctively understand this
  • Research and develop an understanding of trends in cybersecurity, including those that appeal to industry-specific audiences
  • Leverage these insights and trends to write long and short-form content, such as industry sector reports, and messaging for emails and social media posts
  • Collaborate with other Marketing and SDR team members to help them distribute your content and generate new leads
  • Your output will be used by our Sales and Customer Success teams to help close deals, and demonstrate thought leadership to our existing customer base
  • What do we need from you?

  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with datasets in Excel/Google Sheets, and interpreting the results to generate valid and interesting insights
  • Ability to give and receive feedback – you will collaborate closely with our marketing and SDR teams to help plan your pipeline of work
  • High energy and willingness to learn

  • Background in financial/technical analysis, market research, or management consulting
  • Excel skills
  • Domain experience in cybersecurity or supply chain information risk
