The next few years at Koala are all about international expansion, product diversity, and scaling our product offering. As the Senior Product Manager, you will build and lead customer facing technology products that support our business’s hypergrowth. Given the culture of the business, you will have a significant amount of independence and opportunity to implement practices, experiment, contribute, and deliver. You will be responsible for defining success metrics, the strategy, the future and the roadmap with input from your users, customers, team and the business.

You will guide the team through the development of highly complex features, integrations and platforms, using data, research and your experience to make tradeoff decisions that prioritise the right things to deliver revenue results and an exceptional customer experience, while setting Koala’s technology platforms up for long term success. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and subject matter experts as well as internal users and external customers to define, build, and launch mission-critical initiatives.

Requirements

What key responsibilities does this role have @ Koala?

  • Research and regularly talking to customers, users, and business process owners
  • Enable Koala to satisfy external customer needs and achieve business objectives
  • Planning new features from conception to ready-for-development to launch
  • Motivating your team with a sense of purpose and owning “why”
  • Committing to initiatives which will deliver your OKRs
  • Strategy and roadmap delivery aligned with department and company OKRs
  • Be the centre-point for stakeholder management for your domain
  • Delivering initiatives that have a measurable benefit to the business
  • Monitoring and iterating upon initiatives

Ideal background…

  • At least 4 years of eCommerce experience, ideally within a customer product management role
  • Ability to empathise and collaborate with your engineering team through some technical background
  • Experience with internal product management and working with global teams would be a bonus
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment with a high level of ambiguity
  • Ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders across various markets and departments
  • Leadership experience - people want to follow you
  • Experience in driving the full product management life cycle - defining, planning, developing, launching and improving user experiences to solve problems and pursue opportunities
