Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity, assuming candidates have eligible working rights and a sufficient timezone overlap with their team. As our offices re-open, Atlassians can choose to work remotely or return to an office, unless it’s necessary for the role to be performed in the office. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

With a sufficient timezone overlap with the team, we’re able to hire eligible candidates for this role from any location in Australia and New Zealand. If this sparks your interest, apply today and chat with our friendly Recruitment team further.

Atlassian's mission is to unleash the potential of every team, and we're looking for our next outstanding Executive Assistant (EA) to join our TEAM!

This is a collaborative 7-month contract role, supporting our Chief Experience Officer.

Are you an experienced EA who is looking for an alternative to the zipped-up, high-collared corporate world? This would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, anticipates issues before they arise, and builds relationships easily.

We know the true value an EA can bring to leaders and encourage you to actively look for opportunities to do more. We work at speed and can navigate a multitude of technical systems that make work more efficient.

Our role is right for you if you’re methodical, calm under pressure, able to prioritise conflicting demands and you develop relationships with senior leaders as well as the teams they work with. You value high-quality work with attention to detail and have a track record of delivering both.

We pride ourselves on teamwork, operating with a high level of integrity and confidentiality as we work collaboratively across the business. We combine curiosity, discernment, and drive, and like asking "why" to unravel a seemingly complex problem and get to the root cause. We capture, author, and interpret business requirements, and resolve potential requirement conflicts among senior partners with patience and clarity.

Experience working with creative people will be viewed favourably – it's a very creative team!

Note: applications must include a cover letter as we are not considering candidates on experience alone. Our EAs tell us this is the dream job for any EA in Australia – "we are given the opportunity to do the best work of our lives here, we work OPEN, move fast, collaborate regularly and have lots of fun!”

Opportunities to join this team don’t come around often so tell us why you need to be on our TEAM. Give us a sense of YOU and what you’ll bring to the team!

In this role, you'll get to:

  • Being a key liaison between your leaders and the team
  • Helping your leaders run their time in an effective way
  • Participating in meetings, taking notes and following up on action items
  • Event management – offsites, celebrations, speaking engagements
  • Developing presentations as needed
  • Ad hoc projects - including unleashing the potential of the Executive Support Team and helping build out Executive Support craft
  • Calendar & email management
  • Travel arrangements (when travel is permitted)
  • Reconciling of monthly expenses & general administration
  • On day one, we'll expect you to have:

  • Demonstrated experience in an Executive Assistant role
  • History working and coordinating with senior leadership
  • Crisp communication and interpersonal skills
  • Management and protection of confidential information
  • Proven organisational skills and capability with business management and reporting where needed
  • Experience managing multiple conflicting priorities without loss of composure
  • Ability to make sound decisions by applying experience and judgement
  • A high degree of self-awareness, with continuous improvement and a growth mentality
  • A sound sense of team - with the leadership team, the broader cross- functional teams and Atlassian Assistant community
  • More about our team:

We take Play, as a team' seriously. We are a small team, and we work hard but have fun while we are doing it. We support each other and constantly have each other's backs. We are very collaborative, but can work solo when needed.
