About the position:

You'll be working in a growing, Agile DevOps environment dedicated to the maintenance and improvement of our IT systems

You will be involved in Setup, configuration and deployment of network and infrastructure, including hardware and virtual machines in on premises and AWS environments for a range of business needs.

Maintenance and identification of improvement opportunities within our IT system in close cooperation with other lines of business.

Participation in architecture solution discussions in close cooperation with developers and support engineers.

Participation in On-Call rotation to support network trouble resolution during business and non-business hours and you will have to support disaster recovery/ business continuity efforts as required.

Key responsibilities:

Development and Delivery

  • Perform Business as Usual maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Identify system deficiencies and work with colleagues to design and recommend solutions.
  • Participate in incident response, diagnosis and resolution.

Organisational

  • Adhere to operational procedures such as time keeping, task allocation, status reporting.
  • Actively contribute to internal programs.

Professional Development

  • Be knowledgeable and ‘up to date’ with software development domain knowledge including industry trends, technologies, frameworks and techniques.
  • Be knowledgeable and ‘up to date’ with all Whispir products.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies.
  • Share acquired skills and knowledge of competitor or complementary products with the team.

About you:

  • Relevant degree with at least 2 years relevant work experience
  • Strong skills in AD and ticketing systems.
  • A basic understanding of IT System security, such as the principle of least privilege
  • An understanding of virtualization.
  • An understanding of the importance of configuration management and automation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, with a desire to identify the root cause of issues.

Salary Range:

$AUD60,000 - $AUD70,000 + super
