Requirements

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced User Interface Engineer to help us bring world-class products to life using modern web technologies. In this role, you will be instrumental in helping us deliver high traffic, high visibility work of the highest quality.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the grey area between Design and Frontend engineering
  • Be a key stakeholder in ensuring the products we produce of the highest quality
  • Implement static designs for web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related libraries and frameworks
  • Help shape our internal component libraries and design systems by producing reusable and well documented components and patterns
  • Collaborate closely with Designers to ensure designs are implemented with extreme care for the details
  • Collaborate closely with other Frontend Engineers to ensure optimal developer experience of reusable components

Requirements

To thrive in this role you should have:

  • A strong attention to detail in all aspects of your work. From code to documentation to communication
  • A product-focused approach to programming. You work to maintain the highest quality of code possible, but you don’t lose sight of the end goal of shipping products
  • A deep understanding and appreciation of semantic HTML
  • Advanced knowledge building detailed, complex, and responsive layouts using CSS
  • Extensive experience working with web browsers. You understand how varied HTML, CSS, and JavaScript implementations can be across competing browsers
  • An intermediate to advanced knowledge of JavaScript. Specifically using it to build user interfaces
  • Experience with one or more JavaScript UI frameworks; React, Vue, Angular, etc. In this role you can expect to work in Angular and React
