This role will lead every part of our sales team globally, including Partner Sales, Partner Consulting, Enterprise and Vertical Accounts. It is also expected that this role will collaborate closely with our broader Customer teams as well as our Product teams, specifically with our Practice Tools and Enterprise Technology. We believe there is an extraordinary opportunity for the right leader to amplify our cross-regional collaboration and build systems, tools and processes that will not only accelerate our current performance, but also ease our entry into new markets and territories, whilst ensuring the business is aligned around common metrics. 

This role will carefully balance the best of what makes Xero special while addressing critical dysfunctions that limit our effectiveness and hinder our speed to market.  It will also carefully manage the balance between commonality where it makes sense,  whilst appropriately reflecting regional nuances in our go to market approach.

Finally, our global sales leader will create the infrastructure and performance culture that enables Xero  to increase our trajectory of partner and subscription growth, expand our ability to sell new products, increase ecosystem and financial services adoption and bolster our customer life-time value. We will build an adaptable, passionate salesforce that maintains Xero’s sales status as a trusted advisor while changing gears to accelerate long term customer value.

What you'll do

  • Strong collaboration with regional leadership teams to evolve the GTM Sales strategy globally
  • Leadership of Xero’s regional sales leaders and the Sales & Partner Consulting chapters 
  • Advocate for Xero’s customers and partners internally, ensuring we are constantly refining our products, services and propositions to serve their needs, and our growth ambitions
  • Work closely with our Product teams, in particular those developing our Practice &  Partner Products, to ensure we are prioritising and driving the best outcomes for our customers
  • Work closely with our Enterprise Technology Team to ensure we have the right sales tools to drive performance, productivity and effectiveness of our Sales teams 
  • Revenue management across core and adjacent products across established and emerging markets - strong collaboration with Revenue and Sales Operations teams 
  • Best leverage and execution of  Xero’s sales systems, tools and processes, creating the “Xero way” to drive our go to market aspirations
  • Identify, be empathetic to and reflect regional nuances (as appropriate) in regional sales approach
  • Collaboration with project and business teams to ensure we execute any proposed model beautifully - including new products, acquisitions and deeply embedded partnerships
  • Optimisation of channel mix
  • Alignment of global resources for maximum return on investment
  • Ensuring the Sales Enablement function are brought into the Sales community in a way that allows their efforts to improve the sales capabilities across the global and regional teams
  • What you’ll bring... 

    The successful candidate will bring extensive commercial/sales experience ideally obtained in a global SaaS environment. With a deep passion for customers and small business you will have an understanding of or active interest in the accounting and/or book-keeping sector and this will be complemented by a proven sales capability. You will have demonstrated an ability to drive sales performance in a leadership role with the experience of leading globally dispersed teams. Critical to your success is your exceptional stakeholder management and commercial acumen alongside your clear desire to collaborate and amplify the potential of others.
