About the role

As the Head of Business Resilience with Tyro Payments, you will be responsible for the successful operation of our Business Resilience program by establishing a centralised business resilience function in a way that aligns with Tyro’s vision and values.

You will adopt a whole-of-business approach and consider the operational risk along with regulatory requirements whilst maintaining and enhancing the Business Continuity Plan. You will have significant engagement and influence in Enterprise resilience planning covering financial, legal and reputational risk as well.

What you'll do

  • Ensure that Tyro's resilience policy, standards and processes are clear, communicated, complied with, and that appropriate documentation is maintained,
  • Educate Business Process and Applications Owners to better understand their Business Resilience roles and responsibilities,
  • Plan and execute BCM exercises and simulations at system, department and organisation level including suppliers and customers where appropriate.
  • Assist teams in identifying and developing continuity plans for credible disaster scenarios,
  • Help drive Tyro’s innovation by steering Business Impact Analysis workshops in the planning phase of new product and process roll outs,
  • Ensure our Regulatory compliance requirements are met (e.g. CPS 232) and we align to appropriate resilience standards (e.g ISO 22301, ISO22361) 
  • Your skills

  • Strong Business Resilience experience particularly centralising and improving Business Resilience functions.
  • Building productive relationships across the enterprise  from our front line customer service team all the way to accountable executives,
  • A good understanding of Tyro’s business and how technology can assist in meeting our business resilience requirements.
  • Up to date on emerging threats in business resilience space (e.g. Cyber).
  • Bonus: experience in an APRA regulated business.
