The Role

Reporting to the Data Team Lead, you will collaborate with the Data Team to help reach our goal of providing high quality, analyzable data to the entire business.

Our data team currently has existing Data and Analytics Engineering capabilities, and you will be a key component of our analytics community, working with Data Analysts across the business.

This is quite a green playing field where your day to day work will have a huge impact on the business! We want to build a data driven culture within Brighte and you will play a vital part in empowering stakeholders to leverage data.

What You Will Do

You will develop and deploy complex queries and code, with a focus on transforming data into more useable data assets

Implement testing suites and control mechanisms to ensure Brighte has a "single source of truth"

Take ownership of reshaping Brighte's extract, load and transform (ELT/ETL) processes

Work with varying stakeholders to convert their requirements into code

You will provide guidance in defining and progressing our database architecture

Collaborate with non-data stakeholders and identify opportunities to assist them in leveraging data to drive business solutions

What You Bring

SQL skills, of course

The ability to convert requirements of stakeholders into technical solutions

Proficiency in Python

Experience with open source tools such as dbt and airflow

Database modelling knowledge and/or a background in finance will score you some serious brownie points!

An experienced Analytics Engineer that loves working with data, you demonstrate a healthy sense of curiosity and aren't afraid to question the status quo or bring new ideas to the table

You are self sufficient and comfortable working with ambiguity

You are adept in engaging a broad range of internal stakeholders and do your best to deliver solutions under pressure
