We are seeking multiple experienced mid to senior Software Test Engineers to join our leading, global digital advice company. We are looking for candidates that are able to work remotely within Australia.

Building a high quality platform is critical to our growth and a key enabler for maintaining the trust with our customers. You’ll be working closely with our teams globally to ensure that we build quality into everything we do

You’ll be a part of an energetic and fast-moving global team to develop a rich, stable and engaging product built with .NET and Vue.js, hosted in AWS. You’ll be a key member of a small, cross-functional agile team with a strong focus on issue prevention over detection and prioritising your time effectively on exploratory and risk based testing.

Our platform will present interesting challenges with regards to test strategy. You’ll be helping identify how and where to test a configurable platform that underpins our clients advice journeys. You’ll use your knowledge of automated testing to both drive and encourage using the right automated testing approach at the right layer.

What you will be doing

  • Work closely with product owners and software engineers to identify acceptance criteria and edge cases for user stories
  • Drive best-practice in test automation, evolving our current automation tests and ensuring a good balance of unit, end-to-end and integration tests
  • Use exploratory and risk-based manual testing techniques to ensure that we ship quality software
  • Evolve the quality practices of the team to continually increase quality and productivity
  • Write, review and execute comprehensive test cases, test data and test plans against defined Test Strategies
  • Write automated tests in Cypress and Postman
  • Work with dev-ops team to maintain automated tests as an integral part of the CI/CD pipeline

What you need

  • Good experience in test automation with an understanding of modern automation concepts like the testing pyramid
  • Good knowledge of common web and application architectures and how to test them
  • Experience working in a quality role in an agile environment
  • Experience with modern testing frameworks such as Cypress and Postman
  • Experience working with browser DevTools and Git based version control

Advantage to have 

  • Experience of continuous delivery practices
  • Experience in a financial services or advice technology is desirable
