At Xero, our purpose is to make life better for people in small business, their advisors, and communities around the world. This purpose sits at the centre of everything we do. We support our people to do the best work of their lives so that they can help small businesses succeed through better tools, information and connections. Because when they succeed they make a difference, and when millions of small businesses are making a difference, the world is a more beautiful place.
Due to ongoing growth, we are looking for a GM (Site Reliability Engineering) to lead our Site Reliability teams in helping us improve the productivity, scalability and availability for our Xero product teams!
Site Reliability Engineering has been a practice at Xero since 2016 and we consider ourselves leaders in this space. SRE continues to evolve and we’re looking for someone who is keeping pace with the latest thinking in this space and is keen to implement it as good practice with Xero spin. SRE is transitioning to take a holistic Product Led approach to managing reliability in our organisation and continues to leverage automation to help Xero build reliable and trusted software.
The GM Site Reliability provides strategic, commercial, and technical oversight across Xero’s Site Reliability teams to ensure alignment with overall Xero strategy and product team requirements to drive the execution of key projects, owning the communication with stakeholders around the globe, and building empathy for and understanding of your users, customers, and markets.
You’ll be responsible for teams of Xeros that enable us to improve the productivity, scalability and availability for our product teams and will provide oversight across your portfolio, ensuring the right things are delivered at the right time.
Based in either Wellington, Auckland or Melbourne you’ll report to the Executive GM of Reliability and you will partner with Product Management and Engineering teams to bridge technology and business needs, providing technical oversight to ensure we build the right things at the right time!
