About the position:

IT Vendor Manager supports our global IT Organisation facilitating and maintaining our vendor relationships and ensuring that proper asset management practices are in place for all hardware and software procured from vendors. This role also works closely with the IT team along with various other functions in the organisation to truly understand the needs of our organisation to lead activities around vendor selection, contract lifecycle management, monitoring of vendor performance and vendor issue resolution.

Key responsibilities:

  • Management of the IT provider and existing contracts (both software and hardware agreements).
  • Coordinate all vendor management tasks (includes working with external vendor representatives & internal team members).
  • Ensure the organisation’s software assets are managed and licensed appropriately ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities for savings.
  • Ensuring reporting and scorecards of the various vendors is completed, performance tracked, and actions distributed back to stakeholders.
  • Problem resolution, and escalation point for vendor-related issues or concerns.
  • Manage vendor licensing audits as required.
  • Develop reports for the leadership team.
  • Liaise with the IT vendor to provide advice in the development of solutions and plans.
  • Develop effective relationships with external IT vendor partners.
  • Develop criteria and requirements to drive vendor evaluation processes when going to market.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of vendors across all IT function to ensure they are delivering on the agreed terms.
  • Project manage all software and hardware procurement.
  • Support and maintain the budget, provide proposals and changes to the budget as needs arise.

About you:

  • Demonstrated experience in procurement & vendor/supplier management
  • 3-5 years professional experience in Information Technology roles/industry
  • Ability to break down technical speak.
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional stakeholder management
  • High level of organisational and time management skills
  • Documentation and reporting skills.
  • Strong experience in negotiating, establishing, and managing contracts.
  • Customer engagement and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
