About the role

Reporting into the Head of Communications for Australia, The Communications Manager role is responsible for supporting our publicity drive and building relationships with influencers and brand partners, driving traffic across Finder’s categories and fuelling member growth activities.

Responsibilities

  • To plan, pitch and secure story ideas designed to improve the financial literacy of Australian audiences and position Finder as a thought leader and progressive organisation as well as driving traffic to the Finder website and Finder app.
  • Support development of industry collaborations, campaigns and strategic partnerships aligning with Finder’s business goals and values
  • Support our CSR and public affairs program, focusing on issues which are important to Finder and our customers
  • Active involvement in the execution of the Finder Awards program, which includes the Green Awards, Innovation Awards, Product and Customer Satisfaction Awards
  • Work collaboratively with the marketing, client service and editorial teams on the development of integrated campaigns and initiatives
  • Draft written materials including press releases, speeches, media briefing documents and spokesperson bios among others

Desired Experience and Skills

  • Excellent analytical, writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail and ability to unlock interesting story ideas
  • Strong understanding and experience in both corporate and consumer PR
  • Experience in managing relationships with ambassadors/influencers from briefings to content creation
  • Adept at building relationships with senior executives
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and on multiple projects in a fast-paced team environment
  • Motivated and proactive with an enthusiasm and willingness to support ad hoc projects and help reach team goals
