We are now scaling operations, bringing products to global markets and expanding our product development pipeline to meet the demand from some of the world’s largest corporations.

We’re looking for an exceptional Algae Technician with experience in microalgae cultivation. You will have the confidence to learn new technologies, execute production runs and maintain accurate and precise reports on time in a dynamic and changing environment. This position is under the guidance of the Principle Algae Technician and will work collaboratively with the biologics team, software engineers, automation teams and provides a unique opportunity to join a tight knit and highly motivated team of proven professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain microalgae stock cultures including  plate and liquid cultures (axenic and non-axenic)
  • Implement production schedules to meet company requirements 
  • Daily algae counting and inoculation of micro and large scale cultures
  • Operate closed system photobioreactors in a controlled and regulated facility  
  • Work closely with scientists and production staff to test hypotheses and gather data
  • Maintain precise, accurate and ordered data records and produce concise reports to convey the data
  • Maintain plant and equipment, including frequent cleaning in compliance with strict company and regulatory protocols

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience using sterile technique
  • Previous commercial algae cultivation experience is highly beneficial but not essential
  • Aptitude in scientific writing or the production of reports
