Being part of the growing chargeback Team at Tyro will allow the candidate to liaise with our merchants to help to prevent any unnecessary chargeback losses. The candidate will learn the rules set out by each of the card schemes which will be used to educate Tyro merchants and help represent chargeback cases and make a difference.

Main Duties:

  • Manage chargebacks and disputes originating from merchant acquiring card payment transactions, whilst adhering to card schemes frameworks and internal procedures
  • Maintain ongoing communication with customers, internal colleagues, and card issuers/card schemes as required
  • Support other, non-chargeback related activities on behalf of the broader Risk Management team as required and following appropriate cross-skilling
  • Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in acquiring, or an ability to demonstrate a sound understanding of the acquiring context if experience is less than one year. Experience in managing merchant chargebacks would be advantageous
  • Desrable Skills:

  • A sound understanding of the mechanics of card payments
  • Experience with card scheme chargeback portals
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and an ability to embrace internal and external systems associated with merchant acquiring and chargebacks management
  • Excellent verbal communication
  • An ability to work autonomously
