The Opportunity

As the Analytics and Data Science Consultant, you will be working on cross-functional initiatives by designing new frameworks and implementing prototypes to demonstrate value to Prospection's existing and prospective clients across markets. You are passionate and dedicated to building a unified analytics ecosystem within the organisation to meet Prospection's strategic goals.

You will utilise statistical methods, advanced analytical techniques and find use cases within the product ecosystem – to solve real-world problems for healthcare industry clients, focusing on commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities

Thought Leadership – Understand the logical consequences of different approaches and help internal stakeholders make the most effective decisions. With a supremely objective view, design plans for all contingencies surrounding proposed solutions and ideas.

Innovation – Work on cross-functional initiatives that result in solution design and feasibility of productisation. This includes the validation of methodologies, analysis and outputs for new ideas and existing product solutions. Develop and work with the team to establish future-facing insights, implications, and recommendations. Integrate seemingly contradictory concepts into unified frameworks. Characteristically have an eye out for a better way, always on the lookout for new business opportunities, new activities, and new procedures.

Rapid Prototyping - Responsible to produce working prototypes to help refine the business requirements while working through ambiguity, showcasing new technologies, aiding in communicating the proposed solution and helping sell the concepts to aid in getting appropriate business investment for full developments.

Predictive Modelling & Machine learning - Develop and apply predictive models using multiple statistical and machine learning techniques. Solid understanding and working knowledge of statistical modelling techniques, supervised and unsupervised ML, deep learning,  NLP to creatively identify and solve new/complex problems across global data sets.  

Capability development – Become a natural brainstormer as you focus on sharing new concepts to enhance collaboration, communication, technical and analytical capability, this includes monitoring and enhancing performance by providing coaching and/or mentoring on newly developed frameworks.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a commercial data analytics, data science or consulting position monitoring, managing, manipulating, and drawing insights from data.
  • Advanced or expert knowledge and demonstrated successful delivery in multiple analytics competencies. Domains include, but are not limited to business intelligence, predictive analytics, text analytics, statistics, machine learning, analytic tools and platforms, data management, data architecture, data governance and metadata.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a quantitative discipline (E.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Health Economics, Computer Science, Actuarial Studies, Engineering).
  • Domain knowledge within healthcare and/or epidemiology, combined with analytical expertise utilising Real World Data (RWD).
  • Hands-on problem-solving experience, using quantitative and analytical abilities and tools e.g., SQL, Python, R etc.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills including written, verbal, presentation, and workshop facilitation.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering training relevant to area of expertise.
  • Proven ability to manage ambiguity.
