Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this role will support the day to day operations of the Megaport People & Culture function by coordinating and delivering a diverse range of HR activities. Our P & C Business Partners work with teams, managers and key stakeholders to help build organisation and people capability, and shape and implement effective people strategies and activities within the organisation.Duties for the P & C Business Partner will include aligning staff to business objectives, recruiting the right talent, enhancing staff performance, supporting employee development, enhancing recruitment efforts, planning strategic HR initiatives, managing HR consultants, running orientation and onboarding processes,You will partner closely with the CPO, senior managers and other employees within the Megaport group to deliver value-added service that reflects Megaport’s business objectives.

What you'll be doing
Provide advice and guidance to managers to ensure that employees are performance managed and guided through any change processProvide guidance on people practices such as restructures and succession planning.Provide support to managers around hiring and resourcing strategies when requiredProvide advice and guidance to managers on any disciplinary matters, including how and when termination may be applicableProvide regular updates to the P&C team and Megaport team as a whole on a range of People & Culture related topicsContribute to the continuous improvement of the People & Culture function, HR systems, policies and proceduresAssist in the creation of the company’s Employer branding exercise to include; values elicitation, Employee Value Proposition (EVP) etc.Support the CPO in the design and roll out of Megaport’s new Remuneration PlanMaintain in-depth knowledge of local legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring overall compliance with laws and regulations, working closely with the Legal team where requiredMaintain HR standard and best practice operating procedures, use standard templates and documents for key processes such as recruitment (including recruitment of temporary staff), on-boarding, separations, and HR administered processes in accordance with Company guidelines and appropriate policies.Assist on other ad-hoc P&C related projects
What we are looking for
An experienced HR professional (6 years+) with appropriate industry experience and education. CIPD or equivalent qualificationExperience in managing global HR services, supporting employees across multiple countries.Generalist background with broad knowledge of full employment lifecycle, compensation, diversity & inclusion and training.Strong consultative relationship building skills with leaders and employees. Ability to establish credibility and influence of a fast paced operational environment.Strong commercial acumen with ability to deliver from concept to actual planning and performanceExcellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and customer service skills and the capacity to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels.Analytical and goal orientatedAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively and flexibly as part of a team in a dynamic work environment.Strong organisational skills, the ability to successfully complete several tasks concurrently, maintain high levels of attention to detail, maintain documentation and record keeping, and meet deadlines.Ability to influence upwards and sidewaysA true team playerBring people expertise and develop solutions to help the business area to deliver its strategy. Influencing and building relationships with people around the business.Critical thinking and conflict resolution skills.Thorough knowledge of Australian Federal legislation and experience of European employee law is desirable.HRIS system experience to help manage a business effectively. Exposure to Workday would be an advantage.
