About the team
Our Architecture & Integration team sits within our Technology area of the business. You will be joining us at an exciting time as we continue to evolve, scale and transform Xero’s architecture to support our customer needs around the globe. This opportunity supports our Enterprise Technology (ET) team who provide a diverse range of services, best described as enabling capabilities that support the operations of Xero. This extends from supporting the core Sales, CRM, Integration, Marketing and Subscription and Billing platforms. This is a diverse portfolio with a wide range of stakeholders and technologies.
About the role
The Lead Portfolio Architect is a key contributor to the overall technical direction of our Enterprise Technology team. You will help define and lead the execution of the technical runway that supports the development and evolution of features, integrates SaaS systems, evolves business processes and improves performance, scalability, security and data stewardship.
You will work closely with General Managers, Product Managers and Engineering Leads to ensure that technical outcomes are closely aligned to and integrated into their agreed plans.
You will build an effective team of architects that continually improves and is respected by the development teams for helping them deliver value to our customers. Provide line management and coaching for architects within the team, including 1:1s, personal development plans and pastoral care. For any work where it is agreed the architecture team leads the execution of that work, you will ensure that the work is effectively managed, delivers a positive return on investment and is seen as successful by stakeholders.
