The Opportunity 
Afterpay’s ambition is to become the world’s favourite way to pay for what we call life’s little essentials – a new way of purchasing designed for and around our customers’ interests. A newly created role in a rapidly growing team, you will underpin the strategic data and insights that will understand our customer behaviour and the accretive value delivered to our Merchant partners at Afterpay.

-This role will support in driving Customer Insight for Afterpay, including customer segmentation, insight platforms and associated 3rd party relationships
-Support in driving the Afterpay narrative for customer and merchant to elevate  our value proposition
-Focus on delivering actionable insights on a regular cadence to the business to identify opportunities for growth and to enhance the merchant relationships 
-Support in driving customer segmentation, the story behind it and how it is evolving across key stakeholder groups
-Support our Quarterly Business Reviews with merchants, crafting the narrative and being the enabler for sales
-Support relationship managers with the strategic thinking on problem solving for merchants to drive merchant retention
-Partner with the Marketing and Growth team to unlock customer insight from behavioural and attitudinal data to drive customer understanding, acquisition and retention
-Partner with Marketing and Product team to drive customer insight to support Afterpay Loyalty across markets
-Partner with the Behavioural Science and Analytics teams to ensure the Afterpay customer models e.g. Lifetime Value and Share of Wallet, drive valuable insights that can feed into our Merchant Value proposition Identify insights to drive thought leadership to support PR, Comms and Public Policy Ensure repeatable, scalable processes in place where relevant 
-Create and manage a global library for customer Insight so the business has easy access to our team’s deliverables

-You demonstrate driving business decisions and commercial outcomes from data and insight at the General Management and C Suite level
-Ability to translate complex ideas and insight into a customer focused narrative that drives actionable recommendations
-Ability to think critically and problem solve through the lens of the business as well as partner with technical and analytical teams to ensure we’re solving problems cross functionally 8+ years working with customer and loyalty data with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights, recommendations and measurable growth
- Experience working in global environments managing multiple markets, stakeholders and priorities
-Comfortable working at pace, sometimes with competing and changing priorities
-Deep analytical mindset with great attention to detail
-You have drive passion and energy for a startup environment Proficient in SQL/ Tableau and / or other BI tools
- Ideally 5+ years experience working in a B2C organization e.g. Retail, Travel, Telco, Retail Banking
