Sean McCreanor (co-founder and CEO) started Assignar in 2014 after experiencing the painful lack of offerings available to him as a contractor to run his own business operations. We’re well funded. In 2021, we raised a $20 million Series B funding round. Investor demand was so high that in late 2021, we raised a $16.5 million secondary round. Who we are looking for

Enough about us, let’s chat about you! We’re after a highly skilled Field Marketer who will produce case studies that show off our customer partnerships, and coordinate events that people won't forget. This role is a mix of being creative and a backstage superstar.

You have

  • A cross-functional background in working with Sales, Marketing, and external vendor suppliers.
  • Built relationships with tradeshow vendors and have worked closely with those putting on sponsored events.
  • Experience producing written & film case studies that show off our customer partnerships.
  • 3+ years of experience in event planning/coordination in a corporate setting
  • Planned events that have over 1000 people in attendance as well as managed local events, offline and online events and webinars.
  • A proven track record of meeting budgets and deadlines tied to events

You will

  • Create case studies, including video case studies with film crews, written case studies, Capterra and G2 reviews, as well as working closely with Sales at events to ensure prospects feel the hype of what we do.
  • Research and create content for speaking spots we have with our associations for the Account Executives
  • Have a strong understanding of the company brand and seamlessly highlight Assignar while attending trade shows and sponsored events (such as golf tournaments)
  • Own the landing pages for events, build email lists and pre and post communications for all events.
  • Own every aspect of field and event marketing and have success metrics to measure against
  • Be creative with events keeping on current trends whilst still standing out from the crowd
  • Work closely with the design, sales, marketing and operations teams to ensure events are successful and correlate to revenue goals.

Travel will be required for this position (a majority of tradeshow events are spread throughout the year as well as regional events between January and March).

What success looks like

In the first month, you will meet the marketing team and the rest of the Assignar team and understand the business, values and product. This will lead to an understanding of our brand, our social media strategy, how previous events were run and the pain points. You will also get a full rundown of the year's calendar. This will allow you to prioritise your workload and form a strategy.

By the end of the second month, you will have meetings with the cross-functional departments and understand your perimeters for events. You will start to own the events schedule and plan for the next year’s tradeshows.

The Team

You will be working directly with Trent McCreanor. You will also be reporting to and working closely with Assignar’s VP of Growth and collaborate closely with Australian Director of Sales.
