What is the opportunity?

Reporting to the Head of Education, Government and Social Services, this role will play a high profile role in Sonder’s growth. Through the use of cutting edge technology, we provide organisation’s with the ability to support their employee’s mental health and physical wellbeing 24/7.  

With access to the product and engineering team, you will have the opportunity to directly influence the product to suit the customer.  

Creative expertise from our marketing team, data insights from our membership experience team, and collaboration from our partner success team, will see you  supported in every way possible.   Networking opportunities will be plentiful through our investments in event sponsorship, or introductions from our co-founders.

Your day to day activities include:

  • Meeting and exceeding sales goals and targets 
  • Territory and account plans for the specified customer base to deliver sales objectives
  • Lead/leverage a matrix account team of Marketing, Product, Operations and Customer Success Professionals to develop and manage sales pipeline and enhance customer relationships and value
  • Drive customer success by developing and maintaining a deep understanding of customers’ business and industry challenges, market competition, competitive issues, and products whilst offering new and compelling insights to customers to help them improve the way they run their business
  • Commercial negotiation of large scale and complex deals, including pricing, terms and partnering with legal team to get appropriate outcomes.

Who are we looking for? 

  • A tertiary education in business, project management, communications or equivalent experience
  • 5 years experience in business development roles or similar
  • A highly driven individual with an execution focus and a strong sense of urgency and a belief in Sonder’s
  • Sound knowledge in data management and Customer Relationship Management systems
  • Demonstrable expertise in Federal or State Government partnerships/NFP/Mental Health/Youth/Disabilties or Veteran organisations
