Central to our goal is our Product team, who obsess about our customer needs and wants, dive deep into the data to validate hypothesise, develop and test ideas, then work side-by-side with our Engineering team to rapidly build and launch products and features that customers love.

The role

We need a superstar product manager to take our mission to be the first payment choice, everywhere and everyday, and continue to make it happen by hypothesising, defining and delivering the products and features that drive growth in transaction volume and transacting users. 

You’ll work closely with a dedicated payments engineering squad, as well as teams across the wider business to create incredible experiences for our users that cement Zip as the preferred way to pay.
 
We’re looking for someone who understands the consumer payments landscape, and wants to build on our card issuing expertise to create new products and features that truly change the payments game.

To help us level up, you’ll need to bring:

  • Significant product management experience in consumer payments, cards and issuing 
  • Proven experience delivering payments products and features that users love
  • Experience working alongside an engineering team - either in a high-growth or global tech company, or a high calibre digital team
  • A truly data-driven approach to understanding problems 
  • Passion for creating world-class user experiences 
  • Knowledge and practical application of Design Thinking, Lean and Agile principles
  • Ability to translate product objectives into specific growth and engagement metrics and levers
  • Experience working with data and analytics to generate demand, optimise conversion and drive engagement and repeat usage
  • Ability to conduct experiments using the latest techniques to test, learn and improve the customer experience
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • The drive, determination and resilience to quickly work through ambiguity to an outcome
  • Confidence in your own abilities, yet humble enough to admit when you’re wrong
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to move with a sense of urgency, sensitivity to give people space to offer suggestions
  • A love of autonomy as well as close team-working
