As the Finance Analyst, you will be an integral part of the finance team. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks including end of month reporting, forecasting budgeting and compliance. This position will report to the Financial Controller while also working closely with the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management reporting, including providing commentary and variance analysis for Senior Management;
  • General Ledger maintenance;
  • Bank Reconciliations;
  • Cash flow forecasting/management;
  • Assisting in the statutory audits, including year end and half year;
  • Preparation of accounting papers as required;
  • Working with external tax consultants (GST, VAT, FBT, income tax);
  • Oversight of accounts receivable;
  • Assisting the FP&A Director with budgeting, forecasting and business partnering activities;
  • Process improvement activities;
  • Other financial accounting responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast paced environment, is hands on and has strong interpersonal skills. You will also have the following:

  • Qualified CA/CPA qualification (or nearing completion)
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Experience in public practice and/or a similar finance analyst role
  • Preferable but not essential, experience in e-commerce, retail or technology industries
  • Ability to multitask and learn quickly
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to implement process improvement initiatives
