We are seeking an experienced People Partner, based in Sydney, responsible for solving complex organisational challenges through people-related solutions. You will support the end-to-end people strategy that will support Secure Code Warriors in realising their ambitions. This will require you to think big, use data to guide your work, be comfortable challenging and growing business and, in some cases, to reinvent how work is done. You’ll partner with a cross-functional group across APAC (approx 95 employees and counting) to execute strategies for how we staff, onboard, develop, motivate, retain and organise work.

As a champion of our culture, you’ll also have the opportunity to be hands on and work side-by-side with employees to get things done on a variety of people-related areas. As a core part of this hands on work, you will be rolling out programs to support Secure Code Warriors, including compensation, performance and talent programs. 

We’re currently in hyper growth mode and you’ll need to combine strategic-thinking, on the ground knowhow, and a hands-on approach to successfully execute on people objectives.

With our very flexible working arrangements you can plan your weeks to be in our Sydney office a couple times a week, and spend the other days working from anywhere.

What will I do?

  • Helping to build a world-class business partnership model to support our leaders and people to drive employee productivity and engagement in the APAC region
  • Work with the Head of People & Culture to build and co-ordinate the operational aspects of the employee lifecycle including onboarding,  performance management, employee relations, learning and development and compensation and benefits
  • Guide and coach leaders on the full gamut of HR issues (hiring and talent planning, performance management, compensation & rewards etc.
  • Build & provide advice on benefits, policies and processes relevant to country standards, benchmarks  and legislation
  • Work the P&C Employee Experience Lead,  People Ops and Program Lead and Head of Talent Acquisition  to contribute to range of HR Initiatives/ programs to drive employee experience across our learning programs, our Employee Brand, Manager enablement, and performance & feedback programs
  • Review and analyze business metrics including data on retention and employee experience in order to recommend systemic improvements.
  • What are we looking for?

  • A minimum of 4 + years experience supporting a tech business as a HR / People & Culture Partner, supporting Australia, Singapore, India or more.
  • Excellent understanding of HR programs including performance management, leadership development, organisational design & development, talent management, compensation, and employee relations.
  • Experience with core HR domains.
  • You demonstrate a high degree of judgement and can juggle a diverse range of priorities — a standard day could involve supporting someone with parental leave questions, dealing with a performance issue, and rolling out a new onboarding program.
  • Data driven and results focussed. Must have prior experience with both quantitative and qualitative data — tracking, measuring and evaluating outcomes to demonstrate impact.
  • You’ll have incredible organisational skills and attention to detail and be able to balance the big picture with getting the important things right.
  • Can balance working individually and autonomously with working in and alongside a range of teams — you’re comfortable being part of a team, leading projects, or owning things; whatever the job calls for.
