Your Challenge:

 As the IT Ops lead for hipages, you will take ownership of hipages’ internal technology environment to ensure all internal Operations systems, infrastructure and processes are optimised for efficiency, cost management and user experience. Currently, spread across two countries, this hands-on role will incorporate ITSM helpdesk and project-based responsibilities. This includes looking after the day-to-day health of our network, servers and hardware, as well as project-based work such as (but not limited to) strategic process improvement initiatives, process automation, and infrastructure migrations & upgrades.   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the IT Helpdesk including IT service management processes, continuous improvement and staff coaching, training and development.
  • Ensure the network, physical and virtual IT infrastructure, systems and services are implemented, administered, maintained and upgraded in order to meet the requirements of the business. These include but are not limited to: 
    • Network management for wired and wireless, voice and data networks
    • Identity and user access management 
    • Physical and Virtual Servers
    • Cloud Computing 
    • Storage
    • System backups
    • Security Systems and endpoint protection
    • Desktop computing, MFD's and laptops
    • Software and applications
    • Telecommunications 
    • Audio Visual and Video Conferencing systems 
  • Build vendor relationships and undertake procurement activities to ensure appropriate technology services and supporting agreements are in place and equipment is delivered when required. 
  • Maintain IT asset registers, technical and system documentation, processes and procedures, as well as plans and drawings of locations of all equipment, switches and cabling.
  • Work with the Head of Operations to manage technology changes, evaluating, recommending and implementing new technologies and associated interfaces and procedures to support the business strategy. 
  • Lead all technical aspects of solution delivery including (but not limited to): 
    • Drive the continuous improvements of our implementation methodology and service offerings
    • Driving process definition, re-engineering, improvement and gap analysis of current/to-be processes  
    • Identifying areas of process improvement (efficiency and effectiveness), recommending solutions that detail pros, cons and risks, and following through on implementation
    • Promoting continuous process improvement practices through process metrics/KPIs, dashboards and role accountabilities
  • Project management - Ensuring agreed projects and initiatives are delivered on time within budget and scope

The successful candidate would be required to work after hours including providing ad-hoc weekend support based on business needs.

Your CV:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Cloud PBX / VoIP and SIP technologies
    • Microsoft MSCA or equivalent experience
    • ITIL certification
    • Hands on working knowledge (including setup) of TCP/IP networking/troubleshooting networking/troubleshooting
    • ITIL or PCI exposure
    • Experience working in PCI compliant environment
    • Experience implementing process improvements in an IT Operations environment - hands-on experience implementing improvements via automation is ideal
    • Past project experience leading upgrades or migrations

  • Ideal Experience:
    • A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in IT, preferably within a fast-growth IT&T, Professional Services or Media organisation
    • 3+ years experience managing an IT Operations team (minimum of 3 direct reports preferred)
    • 3+ years Windows desktop & server administration experience and > 50 desktops
    •  Mac OS administration experience
    • Mobile Device Management
    • Excellent understanding of networking, switches, routers,  wireless, QoS and VoIP (Cisco Meraki)
    • Hands-on experience implementing ITIL and ITSM best practices
