Chances are, if you’ve ever booked a tour or activity, you’ve interacted with Rezdy’s platform. On the one hand, we help ‘experience’ suppliers, such as whale watching tours, cooking schools and amusement parks manage their bookings online and connect with a wide distribution and resale network. On the other hand, we help those looking for experiences and inventory to resell to expand their own customer offering, such as online travel agencies (OTAs), tourist information centres, hotel concierges and local travel agents. 

We’re a well established global ‘scale-up’. We launched in 2011 and now help thousands of suppliers and resellers in over 100 countries to get more bookings, save time and get connected to one another. 

We are on the hunt for a Data Engineer who can build and maintain our entire data stack, enabling our business leaders and Insights team to drive better decisions. We’re using new and exciting frameworks to ingest and pipeline data, transforming it into a useful format for stakeholders.

The key to success in this role is having a strong technical background, confidently building on and maintaining our data stack to help stakeholders get the data they need, when they need it. 

The role:

• Build production-ready Python services that interact primarily with 3rd-party APIs to feed information from various sources into our warehouse and pipeline
• Add to and maintain Rezdy’s DBT project which transforms  raw data into a useful format, creating master tables of unaggregated standardised information
• Anticipate and urgently address potential issues that may affect reliability or cause down time
• Execute the Data Engineering Roadmap to set our stack up for future needs
• Work closely with Rezdy's Engineering team to collaborate on best practice and facilitate the integration of Rezdy’s software with our data stack
• Assist our Junior Data Engineers, providing technical advice to help build a capable and high-performing team

The right candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Strong SQL Knowledge with knowledge of DBT or other data modeling frameworks being a plus.
• Experience with deploying and running services/Lambda’s in a Production environment.
• Experience writing and working with ETL pipelines and Batch Data Processing.
• General programming experience in any modern language, including writing unit tests, CICD and REST API’s .
