As a Salesforce Team Lead, you will lead, create and maintain a high performing team of Salesforce engineers, delivering solutions on a world class Salesforce platform.

You will work with other leaders to champion continual advances on Xero’s Salesforce platform, supporting your team to implement system enhancements and projects; from interpreting requirements to successful adoption. The solutions your team will deliver will be secure, measurable, and maximise the return on investment for Xero and our business stakeholders. You will use your experience implementing Salesforce solutions to act as a knowledgeable liaison between technical teams, product teams and business users.  

As a people lead, your role will involve a proportion of time on people-focused tasks, including line management and coaching/mentoring team members to guide their growth and career.

What you'll do

  • Support your reports to continually improve and grow at Xero
  • Effectively manage and support your reports to drive performance, culture and an inspiring environment
  • Develop robust, high quality software meeting the agreed specifications and complying with Xero’s development team standards and procedures
  • Assist Analysts and Designers with the design, prototyping and preparation of software specifications and interaction design for product features
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance team members to resolve issues raised by testing throughout the development cycle
  • Maintain a current knowledge of development technologies used in the development of Xero’s software applications
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships both within the development team and the wider organisation
  • Share your technical expertise with others, including training. Continually evaluate the Development teams technical practices, identify areas for improvement and make changes to create improved approaches and achieve greater results
  • Work with the Development team to ensure that the solutions developed are delivered on time and give consideration to supportability, extensibility, and Xero’s own standards and practices.
  • What you'll bring

  • 3+ years hands-on experience in a leadership / management position, creating high performing teams
  • 5+ years hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM/ platform, working as an external Consultant or a Salesforce Lead within an organisation, with relevant certifications
  • In depth knowledge of Salesforce setup and declarative configuration including security and sharing, object creation and definition, workflow and validation, approval processes
  • Experience with full Development and Implementation Lifecycle including deployment tools and processes
  • Experience with APEX development within the Salesforce environment highly advantageous
  • Demonstrated experience in prototyping, agile and iterative delivery
  • Certified Salesforce Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Sales / Service Cloud Consultant, Experience Cloud Consultant, and / or relevant developer and architecture certifications beneficial.
