Your role will be within the digital team and involve verification of our wireless chipsets on FPGA.

Applicants will need to be experienced with digital SoC design on FPGA, and porting ASIC designs for verification on FPGA. The role requires developing an understanding of the design such that it can be fully verified on FPGA, including wireless subsystems, and provides an opportunity to learn about wireless design and verification. Additional roles include management of the FPGA flow and related infrastructure, managing regression runs on the FPGA platform, researching future FPGA platform solutions and working with the digital and software teams to understand verification requirements and assisting with development of new hardware.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a working FPGA port of a chip under development
  • Maintaining and improving the FPGA flow
  • Running and debugging functional regression tests
  • Becoming an expert on the digital architecture and wireless subsystem operation
  • Working with the digital and software teams to validate the hardware with the software prior to tapeou

What we’re looking for:

  • MSc in Electrical / Electronics / Communication Engineering or Computer Science
  • 4+ years relevant industry experience
  • A solid understanding of digital design fundamentals
  • Excellent understanding of FPGA technologies and tools
  • Experience managing multi-million gate designs on Xilinx Ultrascale FPGAs
  • Experience with the Cadence or Synopsys simulation suites
  • Experience with FPGA regression flows
  • Experience with SystemVerilog designs and testbench infrastructure
  • Experience writing and debugging embedded C
  • Hands-on experience with Linux development environment staples such as make, shell scripts and Python
  • Experience setting up and maintaining continuous integration (CI) flows for regression testing and reporting status
  • A good understanding of embedded processor systems, familiarity with RISC-V is a plus
  • Wireless experience is a plus
  • Experience with cocotb is a plus
  • Experience using the git revision control tool
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to document - and keep updated - instructions on running and debugging flows
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A determination to deliver even when subject to time pressures
  • A hands-on, practical attitude
