Your impact

DiviPay's first Chief of Staff will serve as the right hand to Daniel our Co-Founder and CEO, so he can effectively fulfill his commitments and operate at the highest level!

As the company navigates hyper-growth, the Chief of Staff will play a crucial role in executing the company’s highest priority initiatives. The ideal candidate is someone looking to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment, get their hands dirty executing in an ever-changing role, and work collaboratively with department leaders.

Serving as the organisation's “glue” to propel cross-functional initiatives forward, and helping leadership make data-driven strategic decisions as we head towards our Series B fundraise and work towards expanding our all-in-one expense management system internationally.

Dan’s (Founder, CEO) leadership style

Dan loves an early morning surf to kick start his day followed by full cream latte. His power hours are between 10am-2pm so you’ll see many brainstorming sessions booked between that time. Dan’s core leadership philosophy is to coach his team to be courageous and embrace change, to never be afraid to try something new or fail because there is always a lesson that can be learned. Dan will always challenge you to look at your ideas from another angle but when its time he will step back to let you do your best work.

A day in the life…

On Monday you'll be deep in Google Sheets, modelling out the possible outcomes of a new strategic initiative. On Tuesday you'll spend the entire day researching key requirements for our international expansion. On Wednesday you'll be prepping an investor deck. By Thursday you'll finalise the All Hands presentation, and on Friday, you'll be shadowing all meetings with Dan and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), ensuring there is complete alignment and accountability across the business.

Other responsibilities include:

  • With an eye to the fintech market - identify, define and drive key strategic projects, providing data, case studies and research to the CEO and the wider Executive Leadership team
  • Use storytelling skills to prepare presentations for all audiences, including key partnership discussions, amplifying the CEO's communication.
  • Understand, track, and communicate the CEO’s vision, OKRs and key metrics to their team and implement a roadmap to ensure all deliverables and goals are met or exceeded.
  • Proactively follow up with the CEO's team to ensure goals are being met and actions are being pursued through completion.
  • Drive continuous improvement of organisational gaps and inefficiencies
  • Act as a direct point of contact for the CEO’s reports following up and hold all leaders accountable for the outcomes/ deliverables
  • Act as a sounding board to senior leadership on matters of strategy, team efficiency, and operations
  • Build and run cadence for Exec meetings, board meetings and leadership off-sites (in partnership with our Head of People) and do so in a manner consistent with the operating values of the company.
  • Skills we'd love you to bring along

  • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias towards action and experimentation to drive progress
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders and the Executive Leadership Team
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills: you see the bigger picture, seek root causes, synthesize details, and break down obstacles into manageable work
  • A growth mindset, boundless creativity and adaptability, and a desire to be part of creating a learning culture
  • Outstanding writing skills and the ability to convey messages succinctly and thoroughly to all audiences on every conceivable platform.
