The Role

This is a senior leadership role within Athena, the position is responsible for:

Credit assessment function

  • Credit Assessment function ownership – Responsible for application assessments at Athena. Management of assessment processes e2e ensuring that loans have been successfully approved or declined to policy and appetite.
  • Variations – Responsible for credit critical loan variation assessments. Management of variations credit critical processes to decision.
  • Leader of Leader – Responsible for leading the credit function and credit manager. Developing leaders and team capabilities, helping to make Athena a great place to work, managing productivity and budget to desired outcomes.
  • Collaboration – required to work with Director of Customer Service, squads and various Athena areas to achieve the origination performance goals we set for items such as: speed to uncon, quality, customer experience, conversion and productivity
  • Performance – Responsible for the e2e performance and risk outcomes of the credit assessment function
  • Controls – responsible for the development, maintenance and execution of the controls within the credit function
  • Risk events – Responsible for resolution of risk events to be owned by credit function including remediation and improvements and controls to reduce future instances
  • Vendors – operational lead for vendors such as Equifax, Ezidocs, valuation firms, core logic
  • Transformation – Responsible for leading Athena to exceptional speed to approval that can be “stuck on the side of a bus”. Whilst achieving great quality, customer experience and conversion
  • Process – owner of process design in conjunction with Ops Transformation
  • Policy – work with Credit Risk function and QA to get great outcomes for Athena
  • Platform –play a leadership role in setting the vision and requirements for the platform to achieve the goals of Athena as it comes to credit

Fulfilment operations

  • Function ownership – Responsible for E2E performance (speed, conversion, CX, quality, etc) and outcomes from the point of Unconditional approval to drawdown, including the execution of process to policy
  • Leader of Leader – Responsible for leading the fulfilment function and fulfilment manager. Developing leaders and team capabilities, managing productivity and budget to desired outcomes.
  • Collaboration – required to work various Athena areas to achieve the origination performance goals we set for items such as: speed to settlement, quality, customer experience, conversion and productivity
  • Controls – responsible for the development, maintenance and execution of the controls within fulfilment
  • Risk events – Responsible for resolution of risk events to be owned by fulfilment including remediation and improvements and controls to reduce future instances
  • Vendors – E2E owner of vendors including Legal stream, PEXA and docu-sign
  • Transformation – Responsible for leading Athena to exceptional speed to settlement that can also be “stuck on the side of a bus”. Whilst achieving great quality outcomes, customer experience and conversion
  • Process – owner of process design in conjunction with Ops Transformation
  • Policy – work with Risk function to enable great policy to get great outcomes for Athena
  • Platform – play a leadership role in setting the vision and requirements for the platform to achieve the goals of Athena as it comes to fulfilment

Sykes operations

  • Function management – Responsible for end to end operations within the Athena Sykes team
  • Performance – Responsible for productivity, execution of process to policy & procedures, quality, risk and any CX outcomes from the team at Sykes
  • Leadership – leading onshore direct report, but also leading great team connectedness across onshore and offshore teams
  • Vendor management – Responsible for managing Sykes as a vendor
  • Controls – Responsible for design, maintenance and execution of Sykes specific controls
  • Risk events – Responsible for resolution of risk events involving Sykes including remediation and improvements and controls to reduce future instances
  • Internal service provider – provide and manage services to internal Athena teams leveraging the Sykes team to deliver those services
  • Process – owner of process execution and joint owner of process design with Ops

Transformation

  • Policy – work with Cyber, Tech, Risk, and other functions to get to great policies that lead to great outcomes for Athena
  • Platform – play a leadership role in setting the vision and requirements for the platform to achieve goals through the Sykes team

Projects

Project leadership – be a leader for major operational projects that may come along at time to time such as ‘white label’ mortgage as a service opportunities. Where successful this will ultimately end with execution ownership for the operational components
