We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Data Platform Team and build a world-class data solution that powers crucial business decisions throughout the organization.
You will partner with teams at Atlassian across various initiatives, working with them to understand the gaps, bring your findings back to the team, and work on building these capabilities.
On your first day, we’ll expect you to have:
Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Computer science in a related technical field or similar experience
Experience with a prominent language such as Java, Python, C# or C/C++
Deep understanding of data structures, in particular, how they are implemented and how to apply them to solve problems
Built solutions using public cloud offerings such as Amazon Web Services
Solid understanding and experience in building RESTful APIs and microservices, e.g. with Flask
Experience with test automation and ensuring data quality across multiple datasets used for analytical purposes
Experience with continuous delivery, continuous integration, and source control system such as Git
It’s great, but not required if you have:
Experience with Big Data processing and storage technologies such as Spark, S3, Druid, Databricks
Experience with React
