As System-on-Chip Security Architect you will be responsible for architecting and implementing the world’s most secure Wi-Fi chip architecture. You’ll be working on secure boot, encrypted over-the-air firmware updates, secure bus access, physically unclonable function secure enclaves, and hardware accelerations for low power encryption / decryption.

Responsibilities include:

  • Security architecture specification & implementation in both hardware and software
  • Evaluation of third-party security-related hardware and software IP
  • Verification and validation of security architecture
  • Managing security compliance and penetration testing
  • Interfacing with both internal and external stakeholders to discuss security needs and roadmap requirements
  • Staying up to date with the ever-evolving security state-of-the-art

What we’re looking for (required skills and experience):

  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science / Electronics Engineering or Communications Engineering
  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Expert in embedded security
  • Experience designing and/or programming root of trust hardware in SoCs
  • A good understanding of embedded processor systems, familiarity with RISC-V is a plus
  • Experience writing embedded C
  • Hands-on experience with Linux development environment staples such as make, shell scripts and Python
  • Experience using the git revision control tool
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A determination to deliver even when subject to time pressures
  • A hands-on, practical attitude

Bonus skills and experience (not essential to apply but you will stand out!):

  • PhD in a relevant domain
  • Experience in HDL languages such as Verilog, SystemVerilog or VHDL 
  • Experience with static analysis tools such as Synopsys Coverity
  • Experience with secure Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as eChronos, or secure microkernels such as seL4
  • Experience with physical side channel attacks (differential power analysis, clock glitching etc)
  • Understanding of algorithms and methods such as ECC, XTS-AES, CBC, CCMP 
  • Familiarity with security certifications, NIST, FIPS, PSA
