We have focus on developing our various sales channels and retail presence, needing amazing Sales Account Executive to help us build retail partner relationships, driving growth and sales across a variety of accounts. 

In this newly formed section of amaysim’s retail marketing group, you’ll be joining us as a founding member of the Dealers, Independents, Petrol & Convenience (DIPC) team, as a Sales Account Executive

You’ll work closely with the Head of DIPC in development of the amaysim business within relevant retail accounts, providing support in the achievement of business and operating plans, as well as implementation of marketing strategies and promotions. You’ll be key in the development of trading negotiations and agreements with amaysims’ retail partners that provide a competitive advantage to amaysim; plus providing day-to-day administrative duties.

Role Responsibilities

You'll be responsible for:

  • Account Operation Execution – You’ll drive our key focus of sales and profits through the creation/maintenance of account plans, where you’ll proactively adjust plans in response to market conditions or business needs. 
  • Data Analysis – by effective use of data, you’ll:
  • support account plans and provide fact-based assistance for all selling and presentation requirements, 
  • deliver timely and accurate data and analytics across category reviews, planning, objective requirements, sales data, competitor and trend analysis, as well as other adhoc data from internal sources and external supplier portals. 
  • Promotional programme - Effectively manage account activities and promotional plans, by developing, executing and analysing the promotional programme by working closely with Retail (Mass market), Field operations, Product and CRM teams.
  • Account Relationships and administration
  •  you will build, maintain and manage relationships with a variety of accounts across the Dealers, Independents, Petrol and Convenience businesses,
  • being on top of your accounts you’ll be able to report on activities weekly, reconciling commissions and ensuring clear communications with your accounts,
  • administration tasks such as setting up new accounts, purchase orders, stock level monitoring and other adhoc administrative tasks will be instilled in your day to day.

Who we are looking for?

  • The role would suit those who’ve worked in an FMCG environments for 2+ years as an Account Executive or similar. Strategic account management and long-term relationship building will be your ambition.
  • You’ve worked on creating account plans, and have a great understanding of data, analysis and reporting – intermediate MS Excel skills would be a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills – with a flair for presentations.
  • You’re energetic, resilient, flexible (and innovative), whilst also results focused and self-starting. 
  • You’ve commercially astute with a mind for business.
  • Strong in performing adhoc and administrative tasks, with a history of rolling up your sleeves and going above and beyond.

Eligibility

As this is a permanent full time position you’ll need current working rights within Australia without restrictions, and will agree to be subject to background and criminal history checks as part of the selection process.

This role requires an element of flexibility, as there will be cause for occasional weekend work to attend retailer events/conferences, as well as some interstate travel to meet with partners and attend events.
