Description
Our team is rapidly growing and we’re on the hunt for a brand-new Food Process Engineer to join our team and help our company to achieve our big, audacious goals to transform the plant-based and alternative protein sector.
Our Food Process Engineer will:
- Design equipment for scale up processes and liaise with equipment supplier/fabrication workshop for equipment building up and procurement.
- Perform equipment commission, installation, operation and maintenance.
- Establish equipment standard operating procedure and provide training to other lab members.
- Develop and optimise scale up processes at lab and pilot scale.
- Lead, design and perform research for product optimisation and innovation.
- Perform process optimisation to cut down cost and improve product quality.
- Coordinate with Team lead for defining and planning team development strategies.
- Collaborate with Lab custodian to manage lab resources.
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in food/ chemical / biochemical/process engineering or related areas, with at least 5 years of experience in food processing industry.
- Sound understanding and experience in thermal processing and other common processes in meat and/or dairy production.
- Expertise in modelling and process scale up from laboratory to pilot plant and commercial-scale manufacturing.
- Experience in designing, commissioning, installing, and operating new equipment.
- Experience in optimising food processes and product development.
It would be great, but not essential, if you also had:
- Experience in meat and dairy flavour.
- Experience in food packaging.
