Principal Product Consultant – APAC

A new and exciting opportunity is available for a passionate and motivated Principal Product Consultant to join or client team at Ignition Advice. The Principal Product Consultant will work closely with the Ignition Project Management team and Leadership Team and will be responsible for creating and executing client delivery plans and supporting the APAC sales strategy where necessary.

This role is critical to the successful delivery of client projects and supporting market growth of Ignition Advice within the APAC region. You will be working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful positioning of Ignition Advice within the APAC market and supporting the securing of new clients and strategic partnerships.

The position will actively engage with the market and share insights with the Ignition product team to inform product direction and evolution.  


  • Lead Ignition client deliveries alongside Ignition Project Management team
  • Be the point of reference for Ignition product across collaborative project teams
  • Develop and maintain project delivery plans with Ignition Project Management team
  • Lead day to day project implementation workshops
  • Work closely with client-side project leadership to ensure successful product implementation
  • Shape the direction and use case of Ignition product within our client organisations Support Ignition sales team through client acquisition activities such as sales meetings and RFP’s where necessary


  • Core competencies, qualifications preferable, to include:
  • Financial planning and/or financial advice experience
  • Financial planning and/or financial advice legal and regulatory experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial services products across insurance, investment, and retirement verticals
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of financial services technology platforms
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior executive/consulting role
  • Experience of working with tier 1 financial services institutions
  • Experience of financial services institutional project delivery
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams

  • Ignition and client project Statement of Work sign off
  • Meet or exceed project delivery metrics based on the above
  • Continual Improvement
  • Minimum product knowledge required to successfully deliver client projects
  • Actively work with Ignition Product Manager to evolve and extend existing product set Work closely with Ignition colleagues to further enhance their product knowledge and understanding

The key performance indicators will form part of a 5-step process which will provide an illustration of performance over time.  The 5-steps are:

  • Internal stakeholder management
  • External stakeholder management
  • Project Delivery
  • Continual Improvement
