Role Overview:

You will be responsible for helping maintain a consistent tone and voice throughout all of Finder's content, as well as ensuring that there are no errors in any of our copy. While you will be based in our Sydney office, you will work as part of an international team of subeditors, with the potential to advance to more senior roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Editing Finder's core articles, guides and reviews, news stories, PR blogs, marketing emails and other documents.
  • Fact checking articles to ensure information is accurate.
  • Helping ensure that all content published by Finder aligns with Finder's tone and purpose.
  • Assisting the rest of the Publishing & Editorial team with grammar, spelling and writing questions.
  • Arguing about grammar.

Essential Requirements of the role:

  • Very sound grammar, spelling and punctuation skills.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • A desire to dot every I and cross every T.
  • Confident use of the English language.
  • The ability to edit in both Australian/British and US English.
  • The ability to take initiative and ask questions.
  • Great organisational and time-management skills.
  • A love for arguing about grammar and expression.
  • Experience using WordPress is preferable but not required.
  • This role would suit a recent graduate or someone with up to 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
