Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity, assuming candidates have eligible working rights and a sufficient timezone overlap with their team. As our offices re-open, Atlassians can choose to work remotely or return to an office, unless it’s necessary for the role to be performed in the office. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

Atlassian helps teams everywhere change the world. Our products are revolutionizing the software industry and helping teams collaborate and create the magic that delivers their best work. Think NASA launching the Rover on Mars or Cochlear giving those born deaf with the ability to hear, your work directly impacts the products they use to advance humanity.

We're looking for mobile engineers to help define and build our Ecosystem Mobile Platform within the APAC timezone. As an engineer within our Atlassian Ecosystem, you’ll be building the components, frameworks, and APIs that power the vast majority of apps that vendors use to extend our products. Our focus is on the third-party developer and providing them with a platform that satisfies their reliability, security, and compliance needs which they, after adding product value, offer to our customers. Together, we are enabling customers to confidently extend their Atlassian Cloud products, without trading off on security or reliability.

You’ll be part of the team responsible for building and maintaining the Forge mobile platform modules. You will play a key role in shaping the direction of mobile extensibility at Atlassian, working closely with other platform and product mobile teams like Jira, Confluence, and Trello to name a few.

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • Experience with Swift
  • Experience in developing software as part of a team under VCS
  • Experience with native iOS app development
  • Passionate about improving user experience and delivering customer value
  • Good understanding of iOS fundamentals, performance, scalability, architecture components, and best practices
  • Experience with writing testable code and unit tests
  • It’s great, but not required if you have:

  • Experience evaluating and adopting new iOS technologies
  • Exposure to a variety of modern iOS software design strategies
  • Experience using analytics data to make decisions on architecture or UI
  • Experience with modern iOS libraries and components
  • With a sufficient timezone overlap with the team, we’re able to hire eligible candidates for this role from any location in Australia and New Zealand. If this sparks your interest, apply today and chat with our friendly Recruitment team further.
