About the role:

This second-line Compliance role is a member of the team responsible for providing dedicated business facing second line compliance support to Tyro’s business units.

What you'll do:

  • Identify and analyse the impact of new/proposed/amended laws, regulations and industry codes for Tyro and recommend action plans to ensure compliance and oversee business unit implementation efforts.
  • Maintain accurate systems and records of Tyro’s interactions with its regulators.
  • Follow up of accepted action items and ensure timely reporting back to the regulator.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation and on-going improvement of Compliance manuals and policies.
  • Manage the development and delivery of compliance learning.
  • Contribute to Compliance reporting to boards and senior management.
  • Assist Tyro with its delivery of strategic projects by representing compliance and providing business relevant and timely compliance advice.
  • What you'll bring:

  • Minimum five years’ experience working in a risk, compliance and/or audit role, in a technology company or business unit operating in the finance or payments industry.
  • Minimum three years advisory experience a Compliance function.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Strong reporting skills – attention to detail with a data-driven / analytical approach.
  • A team player who can work autonomously and is adaptable to change.
